My life has been about music since the day I picked up the guitar at age 14. After graduating from Wright State University with a BA in Music Education, I began leading worship in local churches, and launched WorshiptheKing, an online lesson portal and series of best selling songbooks for the church musicians. While I was leading worship, I studied piano tuning, repair, and rebuilding at the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology and was personally mentored by Jack Hamilton, (Former President Master Piano Technicians).
In 2018 I moved to Nashville and started the Apex Piano Technicians Network and school where I mentor and train piano technicians all over the world. I have trained over 150 piano technicians and helped them begin their successful careers as piano technicians.
I am now the studio tech at Middle Tennessee State and I have tuned for many artists and producers including Billy Ray Cyrus, Jay Joyce (Neon Cross Studios / Grammy Award Winning Producer and Named Producer of the year 6 times), Gena Johnson (Gena has been nominated in 2021, 2022 and 2023 for “Audio Engineer of the Year” by the Academy of Country Music Awards.) Harry Connick Jr, Garth Brooks, Tony Bennett, Lanco Band, Indina Menzel, John Legend, Jack’s Mannequin, Mark Lowery, Larry Miller, Kristin Chenoweth, Wright State University, the University of Dayton, Wittenberg University, Victoria Theatre, and provide tuning for many of the largest corporations in the Dayton area as well as Nashville, TN.
